Bar Shiru is a stylish vinyl listening bar in downtown Oakland, CA inspired by classic Jazz listening bars in Tokyo, Japan. I was immediately fascinated by their vibe and atmosphere. Full album, hi-fi listening experiences in a calm, curated, analog environment. As a lover of music and japanese-inspired design, it was love at first sight. My project was to create a prospective rebranding that fit the same vibe and atmosphere. A new logo, business cards, menus, and mockup shots were all part of the deliverables.

Design Process
Reimagining Bar Shiru's branding started the logo. I wanted something visually iconic, more complex than the original logotype. My goal was to capture the feeling of analog, vinyl, hi-fi audio.
Two notebook sketches of logo ideas.

Design Process
After finalizing my logo lockup, I approached the design of the cocktail menu and business card. My goal was to create a flexible design system that expanded on the aesthetic of my logo. The aesthetic was modern, minimal, with a slightly Japanese feel.
